                   : at Nekkies Resort

Start             : 10h30

                   : at Nekkies Resort

Finish            : at Alfies Low Level Bridge

Distance        : 16 km

Water Level   : low    (Brandvlei Dam is releasing 3 cumecs)

Compulsory  : lifejackets

Advisable       : splash covers (for that small drop just after the start)

: juice  (you’re gonna paddle for 1.5 – 2 hours!!)

Safety          :  there will be a sweep at the back, staying with the slowest paddlers

                   : the weir is going to be dry, so easy portage across

Prerequisite    : Basic Proficiency Test   (No River PT needed for this race)

                   : You DON’T need to be registered

Prize giving    : at Alfies Low Level Bridge at ±13h00

                   : prizes for top 5 novices (Men & Ladies)

Racing           : K1, but K2 also welcome
