Registration    : 08h30 - 09h30
                    : You have to be registered with WCCU to take part in this marathon
                    : If you did the WCCU k1 marathon, you are automatically paid up for this k2 event, otherwise normal race fees apply.
Start             : 10h00  for everybody
Course           : Laps of ±4,3 km, with portage   -   see attached google map  -  distances same as for K1
Slip ?             : Ladies NOT allowed to ride the slip of any male boat, and VISA VERSA ! So no male interference with the ladies.
                        
The different age categories can ride any slip they can hold on to, as long as it is the same gender.

Prize giving     : Medals awarded at 13h00
Food              : Hamburgers, chips, toasted sandwiches, beers, cool drinks, etc for sale at restaurant at dam

The route (4.3 km) on the dam at Arrieskraal. ( Mofam -Western Province Ski School) Great facilities for the family and a restaurant and bar for those that are hungry and thirsty. -

Directions

• When coming from airport - Take N2 to Somerset West - follow signs to Somerset West but stay on the N2 towards Grabouw (you go over Sir Lowry's Pass) from Cape Town direction
• Remain on N2 (do not turn off) Pass Orchards Coffee Shop on left
• Just after Peregrine Farm Stall (on right), take the Viljoenshoop turn off to your right (signage - Mofam River Lodge & Ski School)
• +- 1,3 km down the road turn right into Appletiser Road - (signage says Mofam River Lodge & Ski School)
• Travel 3km and turn left at Remhoogte Boerdery/Mizpah Boerdery/Mofam River Lodge & Ski School sign
• 2,5km down this road, road forks - take the left fork to Mofam River Lodge & Ski School
• You will pass some packing sheds on your left and tar road becomes dirt road
• If you get to the gate and it is closed - please phone the office for the code (our telephone number is on the gate)
• Drive for 400m from the fork and you will get to a T-junction, at T-junction turn right (Mofam River Lodge & Ski School sign) and travel for 1,7km
• The road bends sharp to the left, continue left on the sharp bend and on the right you will see a sign - Mofam River Lodge & Ski School - use the code 2000# to get into the gate - proceed down to the water and we will be there to meet you.
