Alternative 1 via Paarl, Wellington and Hermon: 

Proceed along N1 towards Klapmuts, taking the off-ramp to Klapmuts and turning left (north) onto the Agter Paarl Road (R44) towards Wellington.

Proceed for 20km, cross the Paarl to Malmesbury Road (R45) at the 4-way stop, crossover the bridge over the Berg River, and turn left (north) onto Distillery Road (R44).

Continue traveling north on this road, through the intersection with Main Street towards Hermon for 21km. Construction work to upgrade the R44 between Wellington and Hermon has started, and delays of up to 10 minutes can be expected at Stop/Go sections.

Continue traveling for approximately another 17.6km, turning left (west) onto the Gouda to Porterville Road, (still the R44), traveling for approximately 6.5km and turning left (west) onto the Gouda to Moorreesburg gravel road.

Travel for 5km, and at about 100m before the bridge over the Berg River, turn right (north) onto a farm road, and after less than 50m turn left (west) and travel slowly along a track next to a ploughed field.

Do not veer off the track onto the field. You will either get stuck or be shot by the farmer!!!

This is the venue for the start of the race. 

Alternative 2 via Malmesbury and Riebeeck Kasteel:

Proceed along the N7 taking the first off-ramp into Malmesbury, feed left into Darling street/Bokomo st. At the 4 way traffic lights at Voortrekker rd carry on straight. Take 3rd right on steep hill into Piet Retief street(R45). Turn left to Riebeek Kasteel (R46). After the Bothmanskloof pass turn left(R311) to Riebeek West throught Riebeek Kasteel. Watch out for speed traps in R/Wes.

At the end ow Riebeek Wes take the last road right (after lang st). This road turns to gravel and beis very slippery in sections when wet. You have been warned! Follow the main road till the "T" junction. Turn right to Gouda and cross over the Berg river. The start is here.
