Road directions NB! The race is at the Robertsvlei side of the dam, and NOT where the dam wall is built! a) Langpad teerpad: follow the road (R45) into Franschhoek, until you come to T-junction at Huegenot Monument. Turn R and 400m further turn R again at Robertsvlei turn off. Follow this beautiful winding road until you get the Glen Wood turn off after 3.8 km. Turn R onto gravel road and only 20m further turn L. Follow this gravel road until you get to the gate after 1.4 km. Drive straight through and look ahead for the race officials. Please park on the sides of the road. b) Kortpad grondpad: follow the road (R45) towards Franschhoek. Exactly 3.4km past the junction with the Victor Versterpad (R301) and entrance to the dam wall, you take the Robertsvlei turn off to the R. (It is soon after the La Motte station signs on your L) The road soon turns to gravel, so slow down! After 5.1 km you turn R (20m before the road makes a T-junction with the tar road) Follow this gravel road until you get to the gate after 1.4 km. Drive straight through and look ahead for the race officials. Please park on the sides of the road. |
