Take the N1 to Worcester. Turn off at Worcester, 2nd turn off, and go through the top of the town and at the main road turn left. At the next traffic light, turn right to Robertson. When you reach Robertson just carry along the road past the Shell Garage and KFC until near the end of the town. There is a sign to McGregor. Turn right here and just follow the road.

Eventually you will get to a Metal Bridge crossing the Breede River. Just before the bridge, there is a track off to the left, down to the river. Registration is here, but please do not drive down the track. Park along the road. Paddlers must also be on the water 15 minutes before the start as the start is upstream and they close the bank. Do not be late remembering…it is far.(2hr drive)

Once they have left, get back onto the road and head back towards Robertson. At the Robertson intersection turn right and carry on. Not too far along there is a sign to Bonnievale. Turn right here. Carry along this road for quite a long way then (this is difficult to explain) just before the Van Loeveren Wine Farm you’ll go over a small bridge with the painted white sides and just after this there is a farm track going down to the right. Take this turn and follow the farm track until you get to a small bridge and a turning place. Park and get out here. You can see the sliding weir from here.

At the moment the Van Loeveren farm allow people to go through their entrance and then straight on down to the bottom where you will also meet the river. You can park and walk to the right and then watch the sliding weir from the bottom while you stand on the low level bridge.

After this go back to the Bonnievale Road and turn right. Carry on along the road until you have a turn off to the right over a big red bridge. You can watch the paddlers go under this bridge.

 Go back to the Bonnievale Road and turn right. To get to the finish you enter town. On your left hand side you will see a golf course/fish farm/restuarant/"The Lodge". Opposite this on the right side will be an entrance to "RIGGTON Farm". This will take you to the finish area. There may be a small entrance fee per vehicle to the farmer.
