African Canoe Polo Championships 1 & 2October 2011 On the weekend of 1&2 October 2011, the City of Cape Town together with the V&A Waterfront will host the African Canoe Polo Championships 2011. The Championship, to be played in the V&A Waterfront Canal, Amsterdam site (next to the City Lodge on Dock Road), will see the Namibian Senior and Junior teams challenging South Africa for a berth at the World Championships to be played in Proznan, Poland in 2012. The event will also include an interprovincial tournament. The event is due to run from 9am - 5pm on Saturday 1 October and the final matches to be played between 9 -1 pm on Sunday 2 October. |

All boats to be secured to trailer by no later than Monday evening, 3rd October - Come join us for a time trial at 18h15, have a few drinks and something delicious to eat, tie your boat to the trailer and we'll see you in Craddock!

Trailer will be parked at the school in Cradock (at Registration) - you will be responsible in fetching your boats and getting them to the start as well as getting them back on to the trailer after the race on Saturday. The trailer will be departing Craddock very early Sunday morning. |

DOWNLOAD RESULTS HERE A perfect spring day saw 59 paddlers tackle the 14km Eerste River Canoe Race through Stellenbosch and hosted by the Maties Canoe Club on Saturday, 24th September, 2011. Upon arrival at the start the paddlers were greeted by the sight of a strong flowing Eerste (50% more water than in previous years!). The excitement in the parking lot was tangible – what better way to start Heritage Day than with a bash and a splash down what must be one of the most exciting rivers in the Western Cape. |

Wayne August is taking a trailer up to the Fish, to help pay for his Fish participation. Your boat needs to be tied on the big trailer at Paarl Canoe Club, latest 19h00, Tuesday, 4 October.You can do this over the weekend as well. Wayne will drive up on Wednesday, so you can fetch your boat early on Thursday at the Spa, for some tripping. The trailer will remain at the Spa for the duration of the race, so you will have to get your boat to the start yourself. Wayne will park the trailer at the finish on Saturday, so you just need to tie your boat on before you leave. Cost is R450 per boat, payable to Wayne in cash, please. Book your place at
